Parent Involvement & Volunteering

Parents play a valued role in our classrooms and there are many opportunities to get involved at our school, including classroom reading support, sporting events, excursions, and engaging through the Parent and Friends Advisory Group. Class teachers will often invite your support on a voluntary basis.

We also welcome non-parent volunteers. In line with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2005, a Blue Card is required when working with children. Further information can be found on the Blue Card Services website. If you would like to speak with a Commission officer, you can contact the Blue Card Services team on 07 3211 6999 or 1800 113 611 (free call).

All volunteers are required to complete Student Protection Training prior to working with students. Once you have completed the online training, you will be prompted to download and complete a Volunteer Registration Form. Please return the completed form to the School Office.

Student Protection training procedures can be found on our BCE Policies page.

Parent and Non-Parent Volunteer Sign In/Sign Out

Parents and non-parent volunteers are required to sign in on arrival and sign out on departure at the office when taking part in activities at the school during school hours. This is a requirement to meet our workplace health and safety standards.
